The short version
Every ClickFunnels tier includes unlimited funnels and unlimited visitors. What separates them is how many contacts you can store, how many team members you can seat, and how many courses you can run. Pick your tier by forecasting your list size twelve months out, not by counting the funnels you plan to build.

What actually triggers an upgrade
Contacts. Almost always contacts.
The gap between Launch and Scale is 10,000 contacts against 75,000 — a 7.5× jump in capacity for roughly double the price. That sounds generous until you notice how quickly a contact record accumulates. Every opt-in, every abandoned checkout, every lead magnet download is a contact, and they do not expire on their own.
The practical consequence is that Launch is comfortable for a while and then becomes urgent, usually mid-campaign. If you are running paid traffic to a lead magnet, model your contact count at your expected cost per lead and check when you cross 10,000. That date is your real upgrade date, and it is worth knowing before you plan a launch around the cheaper tier.
Team seats are the secondary trigger. Two seats on Launch covers a founder and one contractor; a third person — a VA, a designer, a copywriter — pushes you to Scale regardless of list size.
The “unlimited funnels” asterisk
The pricing page currently marks unlimited funnels as Limited Time across all tiers. Read that literally: it is a promotional position rather than a permanent guarantee, and funnel caps have been part of ClickFunnels pricing historically.
This does not make the offer dishonest — it is disclosed on the page. But if unlimited funnels is the specific reason you are choosing ClickFunnels over a cheaper builder, be aware that it is the one line on the pricing table flagged as temporary. Annual billing locks your rate for the term, which is a reasonable hedge if this matters to you.
Monthly versus annual
Annual billing saves $194, $394 and $594 a year on the three recurring tiers — a consistent 16–17% discount. Dominate is annual-only at $5,997, with no monthly equivalent offered.
The trade is the usual one. Funnels are a build-once, run-for-years asset, so committing annually is less risky here than with a tool you might abandon in a quarter. But ClickFunnels is also a platform people outgrow in both directions — some move up to a full CRM, others discover they only ever needed landing pages. Paying monthly for the first three months costs about $48 on Launch and tells you which of those you are.
Who the pricing suits
Good value for
- Information and course businesses where one funnel carries most of the revenue
- Teams already paying separately for a page builder, an email tool and a course platform
- Anyone whose offer is proven and who needs throughput rather than experimentation
Poor value for
- Pre-revenue builders testing an idea — $97 a month before your first sale is real pressure

What counts as a contact?
Any record in your list — opt-ins, buyers, abandoned carts, imported leads. They accumulate and do not clear themselves, which is why the contact ceiling tends to arrive sooner than people forecast. Pruning inactive records before an upgrade is worth an hour of your time.
Is annual billing worth it?
It saves 16–17%, which is a fair discount. Whether it suits you depends on certainty rather than arithmetic: commit annually if your offer is already selling, pay monthly if you are still testing whether this is the right platform.
How does the $5,997 Dominate plan compare?
It is annual-only and buys 400,000 contacts, 20 seats and 20 courses. Per contact it is the cheapest tier by a wide margin, but it only makes sense at genuine scale — if you are asking whether you need it, you almost certainly do not.
